Known for their dinner plated sized flowers, the hardy hibiscus will make a statement in your yard. They bloom from summer to early fall and attract pollinators and hummingbirds.
The blooms and foliage are typically deer resistant and perennial hibiscus need full sun to bloom reliably. These plants will emerge from the ground on new growth typically later in the season than most perennials.

Perennial hibiscus are different than the shrub hibiscus which is also known as Rose of Sharon. Rose of Sharon varieties will lose their leaves and blooms heading into the winter seasons but retail their woody stems. These are also known to be deer resistant and attract a number of pollinators.
