Celebrate the joy of spring with a hands-on creative workshop at Benken! Join us for our Seed Packet Wreath Workshop, where attendees will design and assemble a charming wreath made from an assortment of colorful seed packets, gardening gloves, and finished with a festive bow.

This playful, garden-inspired wreath is the perfect way to welcome the growing season—and makes a delightful piece of décor for porches, potting sheds, or anywhere a plant lover wants to show off their green thumb. Our team will guide you through the process while you get creative and make it your own.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply love springtime charm, this workshop is a fun and fresh way to celebrate the season.

Hop on over for this family-friendly workshop! Attendees can get their hands dirty creating their very own garden planter fit for the Easter Bunny’s next meal! This is a fun workshop for all ages. Each participant will be planting their own Bunny Brunch Pot with the help of our dedicated staff. Fee includes the pot, soil, parsley, beet, kale and lettuce plants! Yummy!

Peter’s Petals Floral Arranging Workshop

Celebrate the sweetness of the season at Peter’s Petals, a festive spring floral arranging workshop designed to welcome brighter days and blooming gardens.

In this hands-on class, participants will learn the art of creating a lush, garden-inspired centerpiece — perfect for your Easter table or spring gatherings. Guided step-by-step by our floral designers, you’ll explore balance, texture, and color while working with a beautiful seasonal palette.

Your finished arrangement will feature:

  • A charming moss bunny statue nestled among the blooms

  • Elegant iris

  • Cloud-like hydrangea

  • Cheerful Hypericum berries

  • Textural ruscus

  • Romantic spray roses

  • Additional fresh seasonal stems to complete your design

We’ll cover floral prep, layering techniques, and how to create that effortless, “just gathered from the garden” look. Whether you’re a beginner or simply looking for a creative spring evening out, this workshop is designed to be welcoming, relaxed, and inspiring.

Learn the best native plants for the Ohio valley from the experts at Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden! By the end of the class, you’ll be ready to establish a native garden and make a sustainable local impact!

This educational speaking event takes place on Wednesday, April 8th at 6pm at Benken.
Your entire $5 event participation fee will be donated directly to the Zoo.

Flower Pressing 101 Workshop

Come learn the basics of flower pressing with Megan Turner this spring! In this hour long workshop you get to choose from our famous home grown Benken blooms in every color, cut flowers, blooming annuals, greenery, and more. You’ll learn:

  • The best flowers to press
  • How long it takes
  • The do’s and don’ts of pressing
  • Troubleshooting
  • What to do with your pressed flowers

You even get to take home your very own flower press!

All materials are provided. No experience necessary.
