Macramé Yoga Mat Strap Workshop with Beautiful Orange Productions
Join us for our very first Macramé Workshop at Benken! We’re teaming up with Jess of Beautiful Orange Productions for a creative, hands-on experience where you’ll learn how to make your very own macramé yoga mat strap using high-quality cord and simple, guided techniques.
This beginner-friendly class is designed for all ages — no prior experience needed! Whether you’re a seasoned yogi, a DIY enthusiast, or just looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday, you’ll leave with a handmade piece that’s both beautiful and functional.
Come ready to relax, connect, and get creative in our cozy greenhouse setting.

Hand-built Ceramic Hanging Planter Workshop
Benken is thrilled to collaborate with Whistle Stop Clay Works (located in Loveland, Ohio) for our first ever clay hand-building workshop!
During the workshop, you’ll get your hands dirty learning some clay hand-building basics and create your own triangular hanging planter. Participants also get to take home an artist-made pot the day of the workshop.
After the event on the 15th, your piece will be fired, glazed and fired again by Whistle Stop Clay Works. Participants can choose from a number of glazes for their planter.
Finished pieces will be available to pick up at Benken on February 7th – just in time for Benken’s Houseplant Expo! You’ll have plenty of options to choose from to filling your new handmade hanging planter!

White Bronze Clay Jewelry Workshop
Join Kate from Bloem Handcrafted Jewelry for a unique hands-on workshop! We’ll explore the processes involved in preparing, rolling and cutting fine White Bronze metal clay. Botanical textures will be available, as well as the option to carve your own texture by hand.
Each participant will receive 15 grams of white bronze metal clay to work with, which is typically enough to make two pairs of earrings and two pendants. Additional metal clay will be available for purchase at the class if desired.
After the class, your fine White Bronze metal clay pieces will be dried, smoothed, drilled and fired, after which point they will be ready for you to use in jewelry pieces of your own design.
Pieces will be fired, polished, and ready to be picked up at Benken on February 12th – just in time for Valentine’s Day!
