Peach Pick-up
These peaches are perfect for eating, baking and canning! Nothing says summer like Fresh Southern Peaches – and Benken is bringing you the BEST!
This is a pre-order for Peaches to be picked up on Saturday, July 5th from 9am-noon at Benken (6000 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati).
Pre-order for this pick-up slot closes on Wednesday, July 2 at 5pm.

Kids Rock Painting Workshop
Let your kids unleash their creativity in this fun and engaging Painting Class! Led by Kathy Hyatt of Hyatt Art Studio, this hands-on class will guide your child through every step of the process—from selecting the perfect rocks, sketching their designs, and learning how to bring them to life using vibrant acrylic paint pens. Kathy will share tips and techniques to help each participant confidently paint their masterpiece.
We’ll finish off by sealing the designs with a glossy clear coat, and there’s even an option to embellish with glass beads for extra flair! Inspiration will be everywhere—sample rocks and idea photos will be available to spark creativity. Start your own “Kindness Rocks” garden and keep the fun going all summer long!
- Each participant will complete and take home at least 3 painted rocks
- You’ll also receive a list of class supplies so you can continue creating at home
- Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on!
- Outdoor paint is used
- Open to ages 7 and up—yes, adults are welcome too! (Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.)

$5 is yoga BACK! Join Kristen Bjerke as she walks you through a morning yoga routine to jump-start your weekend! This is perfect for all levels – just bring your yoga mat and some water!

Backyard Chickens 101
Please join us for the first interactive speaking event of it’s kind at Benken – Backyard Chickens 101!
During this event, Benken owners Lindsay & Andy Farfsing, will talk you through some of the basics that you’ll need to know in order to get started raising chickens in your own yard!
- Deciding to raise chickens and considering different breeds
- Building/buying a hen house, coup, and brooder
- Buying and caring for your new chicks
- Transitioning your chicks to the hen house – Wow, they grow fast!
- Keeping your chickens happy, healthy, safe, and ready to lay eggs

Blooms & Bites Night – With Penny Pours!

Gather with us at the garden center for Blooms & Bites – a floral design night with flavor!
A standard ticket for this event includes an interactive night creating a personalized floral arrangement at our Bouquet Bar – stocked with locally grown summer blooms – PLUS access to the Benken Bar that’ll be open all night serving up wine pours for just a penny!
An upgraded ticket for this event means you’ll be greeted with a personal charcuterie plate to enjoy while you hang out and create your summertime bouquet.

Kids Garden Brick Painting Workshop
Let your kids unleash their creativity in this fun, hands-on Brick Painting Class! Led by Kathy Hyatt of Hyatt Art Studio, this engaging workshop will guide your child through every step—from sketching out ideas to choosing the right brush to complete them. Kathy will share helpful tips and techniques to build confidence and bring each masterpiece to life.
Want to add a little extra flair? There’s even an option to embellish your brick with glass beads! Inspiration will be all around, with completed sample bricks on display to spark ideas.
- Each participant will complete and take home their own painted brick
- A class supply list will be provided so you can keep the creativity going at home

- 1 brick each – 4 styles to choose from
