Q.  I just got engaged! When should I call a florist?
A.  Congratulations! The answer is right away! As soon as you've set a date, call your florist and reserve the date. There are only 52 weekends in a year, and hundreds of weddings, so it's best to reserve the date sooner, rather than later.

Q.  How do I choose a florist?
A.  Visit two or three different florists to see samples of their work. Most will have photos of wedding flowers to show you. If you visit us on a Friday or Saturday, you might get to see some flowers we're working on for that weekend's weddings.

Q.  I'm nervous about talking to a planner  because I know nothing about flowers!
A.  Don't be intimidated! Our wedding planner and designers are experts. If you've seen something you like in a magazine or book, bring it with you.  

Q.  Who should get flowers?
A.  Make a list of people you want to give flowers. Remember grandparents, stepparents, godparents,  a special aunt and uncle, or a family friend.

Q.  When should I make an appointment with the planner?
A.  After you've chosen your wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses, call us and set up an appointment. A $150 non-refundable deposit reserves your wedding date, and is applied to the final total for your wedding.

Q.  I'm having a small wedding with a limited budget. Is that a problem?
A.  Let your designer know you have a budget. Creativity extends beyond the flowers and decor and your H.J. Benken designer knows how to stay within your budget.

Q.  How do I know my flowers will be delivered on time?
A.  Since designing our first wedding flowers in 1939, hundreds of brides have relied upon us for their floral decor. We've provided wedding flowers for almost every venue in the Cincinnati area. This means you can rely on H.J. Benken for flowers that are creative, fresh, and on time!
