On August 31 I came in to order a floral arrangement for my grandmother's funeral, which was held the next day. I had NEVER in my life ordered any kind of floral arrangement, so I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. Add to that the fact that I was brain fried, after helping make the funeral arrangments, and I was exhausted.

The lady that assisted me that day was simply an angel! She walked me back to the floral cooler and showed me the flowers that you guys had and a few of the arrangments that had already been done to give me some sort of direction. While in the cooler I saw some lavender roses, which I knew were as close as I was going to get to the Blue Ladies that my grandmother had treasured in her younger years before Alzheimer's stole her life from her. I knew I wanted those in the arrangment and I knew I wanted it big.

My grandmother was very special to me - she and I had been extremely close so I wanted this arrangment to be very special.

The lady assisting me assured me that my arrangement would be beautiful, and after I paid she came out from behind the counter and gave me a big hug. The whole process was made some easy for me, which I appreciated in my overwhelmed, anxious state.

The next day when I arrived at the funeral home, I knew IMMEDIATELY which arrangment was mine. It was the only arrangment in the room that could rival the spray of red and yellow roses atop Grandma's casket. I received compliment after compliment about how beautiful they were.

I just want to thank Benkens and that angelic florist for helping me order an incredibly special floral arrangment that perfectly symbolized the special relationship I had with my beloved grandma. I know that had she been alive and I would have presented her with that arrangement, it would have taken her breath away. It certainly took mine away.
